Module 8

I use Scootle all the time in my classroom to asist in differentiating the curriculum.

It is also excellent for plaaning and programming and a great tool for a casual teacher as students love the sight.

Today we used bubblus and glogster.

To do the both was quite overwhelming but I perservered.

I am not sure why I have only half 1/2 of glogster.

The course has been great but I realise I need more practice.

I find it difficult to log on to Igoogle and have to keep checking the p/word.
Oh well I'll get there.

Hurricane Destruction

This was an exercise in embedding a youtube clip. Teacher tube did not appear to work so I used Youtube. It was challenging as I had to reset all my passwords but at least it guarantees that I will remember them.
I have decided to buy a small tabbed addressbook to assist in managing all the passwords from the tutorials.
Wherever possible I have used the same password but have had occasionally to use others so a small notebook will be just the thing

Module 2

Today in this session I learned how to create my own blog. Very exciting! I can confidently add an image to my designed page and type text to accompany it.
I can see how the word processing skills relate..making this a great tool...easy to use as my students will already have the word processing skill.
This will be a great tool in the classroom. Can't wait to get the students involved in planning their own blogs.

Module 1

This week I joined igoogle and set up my home page. I added things that are of interest to me such as weather radar as I am teaching this to my students, a clock, mapping section and frogger.
Frogger was the first addition. I liked the colour. I am not going to save the page as my homepage as the boys at home have dibs on that.
A good exercise and I am sure I will add more to igoogle home page.
At the moment I have to catch up on module 2.
